As our tradition goes, we have a banquet for our January meeting instead of
our normal format. This year it
was at a local Greenville restaurant called "Harry and Jeans". We had a
banquet room to ourselves that was
still decorated for Christmas. At 7pm, a few of our local magicians we
"strolling" to entertain the many
guests and also the spouses who do not normally attend our monthly gatherings.
During the social hour, thewait staff gave us a choice of "smotherred"
chicken, grilled salmon, or flank steak. For serving a crowd that large, the
restaurant did a great job. Each entree was cooked to perfection. After
dinner, Rhett Bryson, our senion member, officiated at the ceremony of
swearing in our 2012 offices. They are : Paul Delella, President; Shaun Moss,
Vice President; Greg Lindsay, Secretary, Lanny Delaney, Treasurer; and
Gene Burton, Sergeant-at-Arms. Shaun Moss was presented a lovely plaque for
his service as the 2011 President.
Our evening's entertainment was provided by Chastan Criswell, a performer from
nearby Charlotte, NC.
He did a mix of juggling, comedy, and "shock" magic. If you are in Greenville,
